doll. She is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's Stage 4 and does not
remember too much. I went last Friday to see her and took the 2 outfits that

Dear Aunt Shirley,
My new Mom told me I can't call you by your first
name, because it is not spectful.
You were my birth Mother and now she said it would be nice to call you my
Auntie as a special name because I'm adopted with a forever Mom.
The trip from Missouri to Massachusetts was a bit
scary, but I hung on tight to the truck you put in my hand, and I didn't
let go of it.
I arrived when it was snowing very hard, so my new
Mom took me right inside.
Gee Aunt Shirley, my new Mom had tears in her eyes
when she saw me and I thought she was sad, but she was so happy to see
me!!
She told me so I wouldn't worry.
She loved my very boy outfit, and my fine black work
boots!
Then she had more tears in her eyes as she found the
other things you sent with me.
I guess I'll never understand why she was crying and saying "Oh Shirley,
how sweet you are"
My two new sisters didn't cry when they saw me??
It's nice here, but cold but I went outside and made
a snowball out of this wet cold stuff, but it was fun.
.It was so much fun at your house, you were real
nice to me, and I will miss you very much, but you told me my Mom needed
to have a boy,
so I'll be a good boy as you taught me.
Tell Uncle Steve thanks for letting me wash his
truck and for letting me pet the dog.
Mom has sent you photos of me with my sisters. Annie
is very shy, but Donna Joy is not. I will help Annie so she won't be shy.
Donna Joy told me you were her birthmother two years
ago....tell Mikey he will have to do my mailbox chore.
Well, I've got to go now because my sisters want to
show me the piano and the parrots downstairs.

Grace just arrived and
she's magnificent. After opening the box and holding her, I had a feeling
like child abuse when I put her back inside the box. The feelings were

TRIANGLE OF DEATH AND THIS DEPLOYMENT HAS BEEN VERY DANGEROUS AND I'VE HAD
SOME CLOSE CALLS. IN SEPT. MY GRAND FATHER PASSED AWAY MY SECOND WEEK
IN COUNTRY AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO GO HOME BUT HAD TO MOURN HIS DEATH HERE IN
IRAQ. TIME HAS BEEN TOUGH BUT IT'S THAT SPECIAL DOLL THAT REMINDS ME OF MY
LOVING GRANDMOTHER AND HOW SPECIAL SHE WAS TO ME. AFTER HER DEATH, THE DOLL
WAS GIVEN BACK TO ME AND IT SITS IN MY HOME WITH MY WIFE TO REMIND US OF THE
