Let Us Design A Doll From Your
Child's Photo |
If you would like me to design a doll for
you from a picture, the cost is $175.00... Plus Shipping
A non-refundable $25.00
deposit is needed to start work on the doll.
Once I make the doll, I will email you a picture of the doll for your approval. If you do not like the doll, you do not
have to purchase it, but the $25.00 deposit is not refundable. If you
like the doll and want to purchase it, the $25.00 will be applied to the
cost of $175.00
Shipping for the Photo Doll is about $20.00 in the
Continental USA. (shipping may be more or
less depending on your zip code)
The doll comes with a picture tag on it's arm, stating that the doll was
made to look like (your child's name), also included is
a
Certification of Adoption.
I f possible I would like 2 pictures ... one smiling and one
not smiling.
Ages 1 to 2 years are best.
Also include the child's name, eye and hair colors (pictures aren't
always accurate).
Dolls come completely dressed ... please state if you want the doll to
be dressed in a dress or pants outfit.
Custom made outfits are extra .... price depending on complexity of
outfit. Generally about $25.00 extra.Dolls are
vinyl with a cloth body ... very durable. Due
to small parts that may be swallowed and cause chocking the dolls are not
recommended for Children under 3 years of age.

I would like you to know,
when I'm making the dolls, I'm not actually sculpting the faces, ....
I'm working with pre-existing molds (faces). When I receive a picture, I
try to match up the face with one of the many faces I have. Then match
the hair and eye color. (This usually works very well, as you've seen
from the samples above.) I will not be able to make a exact duplicate of
your child ... just try for a close match.
It takes about a year to make an original
mold, first an artist sculpts a head from clay, then from the clay
sculpture a wax mold is made, alterations are then made before the
finial mold can be made .... it takes many tries to get it just
right and cost about ten thousand dollars to make the original mold.
This is the way most all companies who make dolls to look like your
child work ... as stated above it would be very costly to make an actual
mold of each child. |
